Well after plenty of comments about the "Sofa" shots i use on here i thought i should try and improve my Photo's, and after a £5.00 investment in two Desk Lights is Asda and 20p worth of Bulbs, using an old Plastic Box and a few bits i had arond the house, i cobbled together a DIY Lightbox this afternoon.

Yeah it looks s**t but it has improved my Photo's

And some Photo's using it just now (these are taken with an Iphone 3GS so it's a crappy quality camera and pics, will dig out my Nikon 10MP and my Tripod tomorrow so should be even better):

Nice bit a' DIY, what bulbs are they.

Energy Savers would you believe, not the kind that takes ages to warm up, they are like spotlight bulbs, 8w (40W in Regular) SES bulbs, tesco's flog em for 10p each !

more than enough light to do what i need, watched something on the gadget show last week abot a guy that comes to your house and flogs stuff on e-bay for you, he was using a fold up box and lights etc, well as i'm tight i thought it would waste time this afternoon making one !

Gonna clean up the gillette in those pics and put up the results later :D

These ones, they are brighter than the normal energy saver ones i have used before, guess they are to be used like spotlight bulbs:

Nicely done Peter! Mine looks far worse and is made from a cardboard box, but it´s da tits if you take a lot of shots. I use stronger bulbs though (2x120 w) and from above.

No, honestly a nice bit of DIY, just shows how taking a bit of time can really pay off.

I would be more inclined to post pictures of my SOTD's than just write them if i could match the quality of most other posters on that thread. (Dont tell anyone, but i often visit that thread solely to look at the pictures).
