I've done it. Works on everything (except aluminium)!
I can confirm that it does the job very well though I have ruined one Ever-Ready SE with an aluminium handle this way.
Now every 2nd hand razor I buy receives this treatment.

Although leaving a Blackberry (not the fruit) in a trouser pocket then washing said trousers brings the Blackberry up a treat, it does nothing positive for its functionality...

i did this with my crapberry, the hairdryer worked a treat though
