Defaulting to portal?

Is there a way to stop the site defaulting to "Portal" when opening for the first time.

I'd just like to go straight to the forums.

I'm using this link

http://www.theshavingroom.co.uk/forum/index.php

The first time I open the page it goes to the portal.

The site does not default to the portal, you are going to the old site that is set to divert to the portal, If you change your bookmark to the new main page it will go to the new main page and not the portal http://www.theshavingroom.co.uk/forum/
 
I've changed my shortcut to http://www.theshavingroom.co.uk/forum/

It still goes to Portal the first time i open it?
