Dark jeans?

All good suggestions:

501's - only thing im not so keen on is the cut - suppose I could look at some 618s (sure these were the bootcut type)

Next: Used to wear next jeans a long time ago but stopped as I found them to come apart at seems too easily and this has put me off ever since.

For the last few years I have stuck with diesel as they are good quality and have a nice bootcut but the colour as I say isn't what Im after - budget wise, about the same as the diesels so anywhere between £80-100 I suppose

Will also have a look at others mentioned but I think Indigo is indeed the colour Im after

Mr Harris - I thought this being TSR, I would throw some ludicrously expensive jeans into the mix. The can occasionally be found on the bay of Evil for considerably less. But be warned the deep indigo colouring fades fairly rapidly from these ones.

I'm glad you did - I didn't even know they made them that expensive :)

I enjoy the acquisitions / fragrance threads - it enables me to enjoy the finer side of life vicariously! Especially when most things I wear end up coated in paint / yoghurt / snot / etc. generously applied by two young daughters.

Don't think I can help you any more. The word bootcut & jeans does not mix well with me.

But in terms of durability, you need to buy thicker fabric. I'd say you get what you pay for, but in most cases it's just a name that's commanding the higher price.

Maybe I worded this incorrectly - the thing is I want a nice pair of jeans that are too tight near the ankle, I really dislike the 'golfclub' look to skin tight jeans and then size nines!

So maybe not bootcut just not too tight round the ankle!

I have a pair of Melka, they are a nice dark indigo but are cut in the style of trousers. Think of your favourite Chinos but made in denim. Not mega expensive, £65.00 or so.

never could get on with 501's, i'm sure i had to wear 650's or something like that
tried Gap as well and they only make sizes for smack heads, not someone with real legs
Costco Kirklands for me or M&S Blue Harbour

I tend to buy Carhartt jeans from the US... Means I can get the 34" leg I need in multiple styles and they last ages (min 15oz denim) I don't even mind paying the VAT and handling charge... They're still less costly and substantially better quality than the shit sold here.

Hodda, After replying to your post yesterday when I went out today I wore my Melka Jeans with untucked stripped shirt and light coloured suede loafers. Warm enough (Just) for no jacket. Looked fine IMO
