Complete Novice

I would Just like to say hello to everybody in the forum , I have just found the joys of wet shaving I've gone from electric shaving every day with the odd cassette razor shave at the weekend , three weeks ago I treated myself to a Muhle R41 and I'm loving the fact that I only have to shave every 2 days ,The whole shaving experience has made shaving a pleasure rather than a nightmare task , I must say I was slightly concerned about shaving with Muhle R41 at first but by the time I drew blood a few times I soon learnt how to handle the angles and pressures and I'm now getting consistently blood free shaves.

Welcome! I've never used the R41, but, from what I've heard, it's just about the least suitable first-timers' DE razor. If you can master that, then pretty much every other safety razor is masterable.

Definately jumping in at the deep end, I tried an R41 for the first time this January and it gave me a real surprise. Master that and there's nothing that will harm you.
