Cleaning razors

I dismantle and clean my razors after each use with an old toothbrush and soap, rinse off under running water, dry with a soft cloth and Q tips and put away in its box untill it's next use. OTT? Well maybe but it's what I do and my shave is not over untill it's done.

Thanks for letting me know. Milton is OK for my granddaughter's bottles but not metal. Chemistry is a funny old thing.

Anything bleach-based is really bad for stainless steel.

Every change of blade, a bath in warm water with a bit of dishsoap, old toothbrush if needed, rinse thoroughly, dry.

After shaving: toothpaste and toothbrush
Once in a while: soak the razor for 20 minutes in water and baking soda

toothpaste and toothbrush will do the job. i picked up some Thai tooth powder when i was over there last Nov - it smelled of bleach and tasted like it too. awful for teeth but AMAZING for restoring a razor with decades of soap and grime.

I like my routines too Blademonkey. My other half calls it OCD

I just rinse my razor in cold water after every use and dry with s towel. Apart from the Ikon and Hone all mine are SS so there is nothing to go wrong.
