After browsing on the bay I came across this, seems to be pretty sturdy and looks very similar to TOBS bowl for a fraction of the price,I've not dealt with this seller before however.

I bought one, some time ago and it seems ok. It has a cake of Robert Otten's lavender soap in it with nothing negative to report. However I originally tried to cram too much mangled Palmolive stick (er x 2) and that wasn't a great success; it would also probably be fine with a 65g / 70g cake in it.

Size, sadly, is everything.

I put mine in one of those very small casserole pots with the lid that you get from Morrisons for about 1.50

Thanks, heroblob. Short of any other ideas, I might just do that :) . I have the puck now so measuring it won't be a problem.

Mine went in with just a little push. good snug fit.

I have melted a puck of Ogallala Bay Rum Shaving Soap into a small ceramic dish that once contained a rather nice Steak and Ale pie, I have a matching pair, the other one Is used to whip up a lather!! :shave

The best place for soap bowls is the car boots sales.

I have been checking out my local ones and have got some real beautifull bowls for soap (All with proper lids)

And the best part is the price it starts from 10 p and most amazing ones would be £1
