I did that once and got my wife to send a text saying that the tooth fairy couldn't get under the pillow and left some extra money on the mantelpiece instead and then asked my daughter to read it . She didn't mind as I had to pay extra!!

You could say the due to the current economic climate there have been changes to the fairies, pay conditions and company pension scheme, and they are not happy! So much so that they are on strike.

Or due to the poor dental hygiene while they were trapped the fairies have enough enough teeth from the rescued Chilean miners.
