Britva.eu

What did you want exactly?

I have one specialist local shop here and most of these items (Russian shave creams, colognes, etc.) are way cheaper compared to how much britva.eu used to offer them at.

I have sent few times in the past such goodies to some fellow TSR members; however and as you may appreciate I was not able to do this on a permanent basis, mainly due to work commitments.

If however there are some items you wanted to get and missed the opportunity, drop me a PM. They are usually all readily available here. ;)

Thanks for the offer. Very kind. I had just bought some Voskhod blades from them. Only just received the. I shall try them over the weekend and if they were as good as some of the forums say, I was going to order rather more, and try some of their other blades.

Have you used them?

Regards

Graham

Hmmm. Voshkod blades they don't stock at all in these stores here.

I was talking about software, shave creams, etc.
I've only found Gillette Rubie and Sputnik Teflon blades here in Riga (in few supermarkets only). There may be more brands available but I haven't searched extensively.

Are rubles as bad as they say? Apologies, by the way, for hitting the reply key when I thought I was hitting the pm key!
I have not used the Rubies much. I did use them last year when started DE shaving (they were my favorite blade) and had no issues with them.
Not the sharpest blade around but descent enough, I would say the Astras are sharper but don't forget I have limited experience.

I stopped using them ever since I discovered the Wilkinsons which suit me well, I know our UHermit uses the Sputniks, he likes them...

The Sputniks are very sharp smooth blades. Almost Feather-sharp. Haven't tried Rubies.

Only this week I found a US seller on ebay started selling Voskhod. They are about £18 inc delivery for 100. Do a search (with correct spelling - my spelling is probably wrong). I haven't ordered from this seller.

I'm disappointed britva are gone. I only ordered from them once but they were the only place I knew of that does Rapira Swedish Supersteel and Rapira platinum. If someone knows of a seller for them (not the standard Rapira as I can get these already) please PM me.

Both found in google, haven't used either

Personally, the Gillette Rubies are fine for/with me, not my faves among faves though.
I do quite like the Sputnik Teflons and prefer them to the Voskhod Teflons.

    • I did see these and the Rapira Lux Platinums and Swedes on a USofA site I had never been to (nor heard/read of) before I found it whilst surfing much earlier today, but cannot at this time remember which one...
        • [/list:u][/list:u][/list:u][/list:u]

You can colour me disappointed about the loss of Britva as well.

I have developed a real love for tet-a-tet aftershave. So much so that I might have to look into a big buy from elsewhere or start scouring russian shops in london.
