I've bought a dozen or so DE razors since then: a few Merkurs and way too many vintage Gillette TTO razors. At first I favoured creams and bowl lathering (I'm inherently lazy) but I've now moved to using soaps, sticks and face lathering. This brought on a change in brushes… I just picked up a fine Simpsons Duke 3 two band which seems a better fit for face lathering. I just hope I'll be able to hold out a while before buying another brush.
