In general, I have never assigned much importance to blades. Sure there are minor differences, but apart from Feathers, they all perform approximately the same for me. Until recently.

I've had a good experience with Polsilver SIs, so with shaving.ie selling some old-stock brown box Polsilver Lodz blades, I thought I'd give them a try. I was really disappointed, because I seem to have shed a lot of blood since they arrived and these days I don't cut myself really. So I stopped using them for a bit.

Then I thought about it. They remind me of Feathers. Feathers are meant to work well in slants. I wondered how the Lodz Polsilver would work in a slant, so I fired up my ATT S2. Wonderful, incredibly close shave with no nicks and no irritation.

Perhaps slants just like super super sharp blades?
