I've heard nothing but good things about Steve's Bay Rum, and when his next batch is ready in May I'll definitely be getting myself some. I've never used Bay Rum anything before, so why not start with the very best :icon_razz:.

Hi there,

Not to enable you in any way of course, but you might like to sample a bay rum version or two before Steve's batch is done cooking.

Most of the interpretations will have a base of Pimenta racemosa essential oil. Yeah, it's a plant that's distilled, and the essence is known as bay rum EO.

From there many other notes can be added, just like the Canuck listed. So maybe just sniff a few to see if you even like the basic scent. Steve's recipe is well liked, one reason being he doesn't go overboard with any one accent note like clove or lime or whatever.

You should know now it doesn't take much to enable me!

I think that Boots or Superdrug here in the UK do their versions, so I'll have to get to town in the week and get sniffing:blush:
