Local soap producer who I have never tried the shaving soap but have heard nice things about the rest of the range. Will try to purloin a shaving soap from someone local cheaply and split and PIF some out.

The AA Vetiver shave cream was available here in the States for a short time a few years ago. It was outstanding stuff and 1/4th the price of a comparable Trumper's cream.

Hey there,

Thanks for that, will see if I can get a hold of that cream, there are a few local stockists. If I can get a few do you want one (at cost)?

Thank you for your kind offer! But I have more than enough creams and soaps at the moment!

Nice stash.....oh by any chance could you send me over some of the.....

Only kidding around Mark, thanks for your comment. They have revised their product range over the last few years and I have no idea how it performs now. This factory is only a short boat trip for me and there are also many local retailers who carry some of the range.

If there is some round here I will snap it up and share it out.

I have been meaning to visit Arran for a few years now, 7 golf courses and a distillery!!! can't be bad.

7 golf courses, a distillery of fine whiskey and don't forget the brewery. What else do you need?

I really like the Arran Blonde beer and the sunset is nice :D

It really is a lovely wee island, I like a nice cycle round (if the weather is nice) it I think is around 10-11 miles. With stops for refreshments it can be a pleasureable day out.

ok thats settled, First TSR jolly boys outing to Arran, bring your own bike!!.I wonder if we could cycle round each distillery then the brewery and pop home for a shave just before we hit the pub?
or maybe casualty lol

Try about 56 miles - I know I'm looking at a "circuit of Arran" to cap my first year of cycling since 1991  :D

OK sorry I was thinking of Bute, you are correct it is about 56 miles round Arran. I must have been too drunk and forgot which island I was on. Sod the cycling then, let just go and visit the brewery and distillery.

We could still cycle, just use a motorcycle.

56 miles isn't too bad with regular 'beverage' stops :D We have a few cyclists in here anyway lol no excuses.

Right now my posterior/saddle interface is incapable of holding up to a 56 mile stretch - legs are able, but after about 22ish I need to halt the interface and do something else.

That said I'm taking a week off from the bike this week after pulling/twisting/damaging my back last Thursday evening leading to a weekend of walking around like I'd soiled myself and excruciating pain - much better now, but not worth risking a trip on the bike just yet (1512km in just over 6 months isn't too bad for a corpulent chap like me)
