Amazing illusions

Grew up watching Steve Martin films. Some of my fondest childhood memories. The last good one was Bowfinger, quite some time after Dirty Rotten Scoundrels.

What's doin NTS,

One of my favorite Steve Martin movies would be Roxanne. You've probably seen that one already, and maybe found it amusing as well.

Being a fan of the Cyrano de Bergerac story, I thought the flick was extremely clever in following the original theme to that classic, with some pretty darn good sight gags tossed in (mainly his nose of course).

Martin

Oh, did you ever see the Cyrano version with Jose Ferrar? Very well done......I believe he won an Oscar for his role.

Ah yes, the young Prince speaks,

Yeah, that line still makes me smile when I think of it's context.

Yeah, certainly remember Roxanne. Certainly remember her! Loved the way he got into the house after she was locked out, and the scene where he falls out of the tree near the old ladies, telling them aliens wanted to have sex with older women!

Yes, that tyre-swinging creation was excellent.

Excuse me. May I go to the bathroom?
Thank you.

Ruprecht no!

Why does he have corks on the end of his knife and fork?
To prevent him from hurting himself, and others.

"May I take your trident, sir?"

"Yesss!"

Oh dear, you've got me started now...

Hiya,

Some of youse guys musta seen Ricky Jay somewhere or other. If, not, this will introduce one side of him. This man knows his way around a deck of cards.

First link is his 'Entertainer' schtick. Second one's his hard core version of card manipulation, in which he does not talk at all. He is forcing those cards to do what he wants and the trick he does is pretty darn good.

Colorful character that I was lucky enough to see in a small venue years ago.
