Alum- Wash off or leave on ?

Definitely wash it off! Try pure shea butter as a moisturising after shave balm, very good for sensitive skin.

Cold water rince/wash off. I did leave alum on my face before without washing it off it left my face with white dry patches from the alum

Wash off after a minute. Unless you've got a face like granite.

If you've ever accidentally tasted alum you'll probably agree that it's not the sort of thing you want to leave on your face. Yuk!

yup like others have said I cold rinse it off after about a minute.

This is great advice chaps! I used my alum block a handful of times then gave up as I started getting spotty redness after about 45-60mins. Will do this next time!

Never washed it off - use it every shave (whole face) & I always let it dry naturally, then apply balm & usually Proraso AS; never had any issues
