That almost looks sexy - for a TTO!
It's from Javier (El Druida) from Spain, the knot is a Manchurian 28/52 super soft tips. Pretty excited to use it, gets its maiden voyage tomorrowWell, who's a brush teaser, then? Details, please!
My First Gillette Rocket! It was a purchase from Bay of E.
This actually arrived yesterday morning. It's had a soak in warm soapy water, a quick scrub with soapy ttothbrosh, then been disinfected. I've decided not to give it the "full treatment", I gave my Fatboy and my Slim the full treatment, and now I'm worried that I've dammaged the TTO and adjustment mechanisms.
The first thing I noticed is how smooth and firm the TTO mechanism is compared to my adjustables, the quality feels much higher. Second thing is how reassuringly heavy it is for such a small razor. I'm going to use it for my Christmas Day shave!
The good news is very good. Thanks for letting me know. The search for a rocket will have to resume, once my finances have recovered from the effects of Christmas and my November to December RAD binge. Here's some good news for you: That's not a Rocket ........... It's a '49 Aristocrat Junior ..... Like a Rocket, but with the same head as the #16 Aristocrat. These British built models were known for their solid build and bulletproof mechanisms ....... Very popular across the pond.
Of course, the bad news is that you're still in the hunt for a Rocket
