It looks wonderfully plated, just superb, but on the wrong razor. I realise that you probably simply choose something you had for a trial run and you have, it appears, succeeded 100%. It really does not matter to anybody other than old fools like me but I believe Ever Ready (not GEM) never made a gold (gilt) plated 1912, they did however make a gilded 1924. It detracts nothing from your superb work!

On the handle for extra grip or on the head for a more aggressive shave...

I disagree which is not unusual in itself but I normally don't do bling of any sort. However, that I do like. Very much so.

A question about your gold plate if ya don't mind mate. How does it look like it'll last as in longevity? I read somewhere that brass isn't the best material to plate with gold hence the vintage razors were all a bit naff. Another line of thought is they were just cheaply and badly done. What say ya?
