Palm strop or palm lather?

I can't palm lather, my palms aren't very big and the lather spills everywhere. Makes stretching the skin a pain too, prefer a dry set of ingers for that. I needs my big bowl. The bowl always leaves plenty left over for more passes too.

The Sea Buckthorn is very good, I need to get some of that myself.

Well once you pop you cant stop....
FrenchBlade 1962 minty mint minty Slim arrived yesterday and some shark blades.
So this morning..
those two and jagger buckthorn.
Set phaser to 5 and had a lovely shave. So much nicer than the Merk. Easy to find the point of shave.
So far I am rarely having 2 days the same. Lovely. No nicks or cuts.
I sang the James Bond theme tune as well it being a slim and all.
And this is the result....

It actually turned me in 007!
Get a slim now!
That's my advice.

Also turned down phaser to 2.
Really close shave. Have read lots of confusing info about adjustables....

• Start low, then high then low.
  Start high then low.
  Keep the same.[/list:u]
  Probably horses for courses. Probably start high if lots of beard...? Mantic starts low.
  Oh I don't know. I can see the sense in the sense in finishing low...just to 'finish off'
  Anyhoo Smithers its a great razor. I shall just enjoy it. Getting hung up on numbers wont help now will it?
  Will probably sell Merk and travel merk.

How about this for a revelation slick. Don't adjust it at all. Find the one setting that works for a couple of passes, actually I recommend that to begin with.

Have newbies shave kit from James-uk!! Wot a lovely gesture and things to play with.
Shall try tomorrow
with a yellow 7 o clock.
Anyhoo
Set phaser to 3 on slim and did two passes for a great shave. Shark blade holding up well.
Used Proraso white tub. (very nice)
Face lather most of time now.
Slim is awesome!

On way to work this happened...

No wonder 007 used one!!!

Vulfix bristle from James ! Nice and scritchy
Arko soap wiped on face and face lather. Nice lemony smell. Not like a gents bog at all.

Shark blade ( seems tomimprove eith each shave)
Two passes wtg and xtg
Neck a little sore. Toomuch shaving!!
Disappointment.
Nothing happened.

Sat No shave
Sun used PIF razor from James in Newbie kit. Nice shave seems more 'angle sensitive' after Slim and Fat-boy.
Mon used Erasmic shave cream from James and bristle brush with Slim and shark blade.
Face lathered put blob of cream right in middle of brush. Absolutely grand. Maybe no 2 after mama bears.
Shark blade tugging but got me through OK.
Off to work in new car.

Rest of week will be using fatboy and gillette super sharps thanks jonboy!!

Usual routine up at 04.00 to prep....
For 7 o'clock shave.
Set phaser to 3 then for second pass set to 5. (killed 2 Romulans)
The best shave to date!! Success. No soreness or anything.
Hussah!
Very similar to use to slim. Great razors.
Me in action with Fatboy.

Get one. You know it makes sense...

Set phaser to 3 for 1st pass
Then set phaser to 5 for second pass.
Super dooper space age shave! Really consistent results now.
These blades are very similar to bleues. Best yet. Especially as I now know my under chin beard has a left to right nap and I have the confidence to shave with it now ie a slightly east to west pass under the chin.

INCOMING!! Now have late 1940's no date super speed from Dodgy. Hell it is like new!!! Cant wait.

Well!!!
Got home, couldn't wait so I put my sharp edge in the late 1940,2 super speed from Dodgy.....
and had an afternoon shave!!!
Great
shave, one pass!! Great weight, great aggressiveness, about a 5 on the fat boy scale.
This morning two passes really super dooper shave!!
a sixty year old razor direct from the USA how cool is that!!!!
Gillette super sharps are very good.
Off to work with the lads.
Funny how a simple thing like a razor can change your life....

up with the lark, a spring in my step and a song in my heart.
Err and a slight red wine hangover.
Today used same set up as yesterday except proraso soap white tub. Nice smell.
A two pass WTG and ATG showed very passable (shaving joke here) results. Will experiment with under chin with fresher blade. I have used this since Tuesday.
But, no rash or burn. Am lovin the super speed. Am lovin' all my Gillettes.
