I too will join this a little late. I need to give my straight/shavette razors a little exercise.......they have been neglected for a month and are gazing longingly at me from the depths of my razor store!

I'll join you too but I only use a DE every other day.

I only have one open comb, a 1912, but I haven't got around to buying blades for it.
I'll order some and join in a bit later

I've only got four OC razors and three of them are MMOC's! One chrome, one brass and an adapted brass one that will take Corrux blades but I will join the party for a few shaves

How did you adapt it?

I didn't, I bought it like it. It has had the pin in the middle of the blade plate ground off and the side pins removed. It's ok though if you happen to have a load of solid blades like the old ER blades.

What about a shimmed modern blade?

Yea that would work but I've got the other two for Gem blades .

Good luck. I'd break the blade if I was you. Do it with the wrapper on.
