Shave Of The Day Saturday 8th -Friday 14th July

Greetings All,

Wednesday shave.

One days' growth and warm shave

Preparation – face washed with Clique Liquid facial soap (mild)

Pre: Prorosa Red pre-share
Soap: Wickham Classic 24
Razor: Merkur 34c
Blade: Silver Star (1st)
Brush:Razorock 400 Noir

Post Shave: Cold water rinse, followed by a shower then Proraso aftershave lotion (red) and Nivea 2 Phase.

Owwwwww tried a freebee from EBay – Silver Star razors and was. . . really surprised – what a nice shave that produced. That and the Wickham meant 3 passed a few weepers (me getting over confident) but nothing bad.

Another good start . . .

And when I got home my first proper shaving mug arrived. Hand throw and the potter was kind enough to get the colour I wanted. It has ridges on the inside to help with cresting a lather, so happy, now I have to wait until morning to tried it out.

Prep: Warm shower and Loreal face wash
Pre: Myrsol Antsol
Razor: The General
Razor blade: Proline (3)
Bowl: Little Wren Pottery
Soap: OSP Orange and Patchouli (sample)
Post: Thayers witch hazel and Myrsol Antsol

I contact @Digimonkey a couple of days ago to offer to send him some samples and he very kindly offered to return the favour (it's what we do around here).
He sent me two, one being OSP Orange and Patchouli.
I tried a couple of OSP samples when I first started DE shaving 12 months ago and I wasn't impressed (shocking to hear I know).
What a difference a year makes. I really like the scent, natural and zesty and it performed well.

I had a break from the Rocca tonight (dont worry it will return).
I'd missed using The General. Imagine missing a razor. It's madness I tell ya, madness!
The General was a pleasure to use and it didn't take long to remind me why I missed using it.

Thanks to Iain for the sample and postcard (nice touch champ).

Peace out!
Rob

Prep....Shower~ Lavender & Olive Oil soap
Razor....Blackland ~Sabre
Blade....Pal Super carbon
Soap....SV~ Tundra Artica
Bowl....Little Wren pottery
Brush....BSSW~ Gonzo
Post....Thayers Rose ~ BBA post shav balm ~ Jojoba oil
Scent....Molecule 01 ISO E Super

My second shave of my 7 day back to back with the Sabre...Expectations are high!

Freshly showered I whipped up a glorious lather from the Tundra Artica with Gonzo in my Little Wren bowl, I loaded the Sabre with a Pal super carbon blade and began.

Holding the handle high with the cap almost on my skin the blade made short work of my stuble. I finnished in two passes and a touch up on my problem areas, as smooth as smooth can be without any irritation. This is almost too easy but I'm still loving this set up.

Finnished with my post shave ritual, Thayers, let dry, BBA psb, leave to sink in, Jojoba oil to moisturise.

A body spray of Molecule 01 (3rd bottle) great stuff!

Wishing you all a good day.........:)
