Rocnel SE review(s)

@Bechet, all ordering process is done through Tipsoft and he uses only Tipsoft knots. You can e-mail to tipsoftbrushes@gmail.com for inquiry. If you don't get an answer in couple of days just send another e-mail. If you still don't get an answer just let me know and I will give them a call. :)

@Nisse you're welcome. :)

Any difference between DE blades or they are all equally easy to break in halves?

Quite honestly I've maybe snapped 3-4 blades in my life and I can't remember there being a lot of difference but will leave it for other more frequent blade-snappers to answer :)

Seriously guys snapping these blades in half just aint an issue, regardless of the brand. Leave them in the wrapper, fold in half and press the two halves together. They snap easy and unwrap as normal. Just take a few of yer stash and practice until all those fears have gone. IT REALLY ISN'T AN ISSUE. You're welcome.:)

+1 - it was very straight forward.
Snapping of the tabs once the blade was inserted into the razor took a tiny bit more effort but not something that was a concern or bother really. Now loading a used blade w/out tabs back into the razor though.... ;)

Blown away by the brushes in that Turkish thread. From what I can see, Karia Brushworks make some of the most beautiful pieces of art ever created. There are so many but this one got my head spinning

Greetings
Thank you for a very in depth review, hugely informative. It would seem that I owe Rocnel an apology I said about the price that if it seemed too good to be true than it probably wasn't true, clearly I was wrong and I unreservedly withdraw that remark.

I also said the concept of using a saloon blade in a SE razor was flawed, my thoughts were that it would not be rigid enough and there would almost certainly be some blade chatter as there is no topcap applying tension to the blade as in a DE, it would appear the curvature in the blade cut out housing has solved this problem so it seems I was wrong on both counts and I am happy to admit being so!

Regards
Dick (dining on humble pie in Norfolk)
