Cleaning razors

What is recommended for the pass arounds?
Cleaning: Washing up liquid and an old soft toothbrush. Ultrasonic cleaner if you have one and feel like it.
We're talking about cleaning a reasonable clean razor here, not restoring a vintage, scum-encrusted razor.
Disinfecting: Barbicide.

Cleaning my own razors varies by type of razor. A DE three-piece only gets the washing up liquid and tooth brush. An injector might see a pipe cleaner as well and the ultrasonic bath or denture tablets. Brass razors get polished when I feel they need it. Et cetera.
I never disinfect my own razors between uses. What for?

Milton solution corrodes metal... even stainless steel...

Use it on your own razors, if you like, but not on pass around razors. Please.

That all makes perfect sense riverrun. Thank you

Standard bathroom cleaner (Mr Muscle or Flash seem to work best) and an old toothbrush.

Once every 3 or 4 months they get the spa treatment with Peek Polish which really brings out the shine.

Same here, plus an occasional ultrasonic bath with washing-up liquid.

Secondhand razors get all the above, and then a 10 minute Barbicide swim before first use.

Just wipe mine occasionally if I see soap build up, otherwise I put them in the Ultrasonic with the proper solution. Washing up liquid didn't do a thing when I tried it
