Cleaning razors

Afternoon Gents.

How do you guys clean your razors? Do you have a routine, and what products, if any, do you use?

Monthly in a Tupperware dish with warm water & a denture cleaning tablet.
Leave for 10 mins & then rinse with cold water whilst scrubbing lightly with a soft toothbrush.

I have very hard water, they attract a soap scum film & water marks.
Agree, a clean dirt.
You wouldn't thank me on a pass around if I sent it on as-is.

Like you Jay, I have very hard water and get a build up of, as you put it, soap scum.

antibacterial hand soap, tooth brush, hot water rinse followed by 20 minutes in a cooling bath of Milton solution.

Dry with clean towel, jobs a good un

I take apart my razors after every shave and once a month I put them in an ultrasonic jewellery cleaner with a few drops of washing up liquid. They come out like new

I have very soft water so no scum, and most of my razors are three-piece so they just need a rinse.

Obviously if I'm selling one or passing it around then it's cleaned thoroughly, usually a good wash in antibacterial soap and a bath in boiling water.
