Favourites day to start the week off on a high. Favourite ever razor is the 6S, it's just right for me. Favourite ever soap is Mitchells Wool Fat, it just suits my face. Probably helps that I live less than a mile from the factory so I guess my water is exactly right for it. All in all a reet good shave. Si'thee around.

Soap – Yaqi The Green ( sample )
Brush – Vulfix 2273 Super Badger travel brush
Razor – Rocca ( V3)
Blade – Astra SP
A/S – Yaqi The Green ( sample)
Balm – L’Occitanne Cap Cedrat

Not a travel shave but I fancied a change and dusted the cobwebs off this wee brush.
It hardly sees the light of day and usually only comes out for the odd weekend away or travelling light.
By far the smallest brush I own, it looks like it belongs in Action Man’s kit bag.

It whipped up a lather easily directly from the sample puck.
There’s a little more effort required to cover the ground but I don’t find that an issue and over the years this wee fella has served me well.

I really like The Green scent but it’s a shame it’s not more potent. If it had a bit more kick I’d probably have gone for a full tub. Same with the splash. No complaints on performance and I’m happy I sampled it.

Another great shave.

Hope everyone has a great day ……….. it’s Hot! Hot ! Hot ! out there !

Ganders Goat Soap w/Hop, Sage & Birch
Signature Soaps Britannia Shaving Soap
Yaqi Dandelion w/Cashmere Synthetic 24mm
Wilkinson Sword Hydro Advanced System
Skin Protection Advanced Cartridge (1) < Removed gloop pod strip
Brut Splash-On

Kicking off my kit for the week ...

It's the very lovely (and cooling) Signature Soaps Britannia lathered up with the very lovely Yaqi Dandelion with the cashmere knot. What I really like about the soap is how @BrianH has not gone for the vogue with face-freezer menthol but a gentle cooling from the spearmint; certainly very welcome on a day like today!

Back on the WIlkie cartridge system with the advanced handle that has the second pivot and the cartridge with the gloop strip removed, making a great setup from the off for folks like us with great traditional soaps.

Spearmint and anise in the soap is picked up really well by the (more anise scented) Brut Splash-On, cooling somehow in its own way. Face, neck, chest, back of neck, top of head.

Hotter tomorrow and then that's it! Back to temperatures in the 20s. Keep cool, folks!

Razor: Green Cult Razor
Blade: Astra SP, 1st use
Brush: Shedeleven Spalted Scottish Hawthorn AP Shave Co G5C 26mm Fan
Bowl: Captains Choice Copper Lather Bowl Standard Bowl
Preshave: PAA Cube Unscented Soap
Soap: A&E Vida Puck
Aftershave: A&E Vida Aftershave
Balm: Baxter Of California Aftershave Balm
Additional Care: Osma Laboratoires Alum Block

A fabulous close shave, but note to self, do not rush or daydream when using the green cult. Nick hacked out of a line of chin, all completely my fault. Despite the nick across the chin it was a great shave and I love this razor still.
