A quick brushless shave with just a brief application of the soap followed by face rubbing is enough slickness for 2passes at setting 9 & 7. Acceptable ccs result and nice aftershaves...nothing like a good shave to face the day...no matter how simple!

Today is a special birthday, so alongside my new Claymore Evo, I decided to use my beloved brush and my all time favourite OSP soap. Such a shame the original Spice Road formula did not make it commercially viable, as this prototype is a close match to the original Shulton Old Spice. The other shame is that the small amount I have left is gradually diminishing.

Great shave this it really was
The progress is a fantastic razor and paired with the Henson Blade which was a first for me it went really well.
The blade was a pleasant surprise
i wasn’t expecting much but again a top drawer shave.
Hopefully it’s still as good after it’s 3 use.

Bad news for me today.
Iv decided to stay in Norway a while longer.
i’ll probably be here until the 2nd or 3rd week in june making it a 9-10 week trip,
Never mind iv got plenty of samples with me so no panic on that front although i might need to get a cheeky we order from Fitjar just to feed my habit

Good morning all,

So still a little under the weather but getting there, an earlyish morning shower and shave has helped though.

Prep, shower and PAA Cube (mentholated)
Brush, Boti Blue
Razor, Blackland Blackbird
Blade, Supermax DIamond Edge (3rd and final use)
Cream, Proraso (mineral one)
A/S, Proraso (green)
Music, Catherine McGrath

The cream lathered up nice and easily, nice and thick and provided a good surface to work on. In conjunction with the PAA Cube you can tell its menthol and very cooling, still not too overpowering for me, yet. I did my usual 3 grain pass. A very nice and easy shave, clean and close, with zero issues, irritation etc.

I applied the Proraso A/S and can confirm (for me at least) its not too overpowering with the PAA Cube and cream used. I will try it with the Proraso Green at some point just to see, but very happy with it.

Another birthday rolled up so decided the only thing to do was try shaving with a shavette - luckily @ATG seemed to read my mind and offer up a Feather AC SS with some pro guard blades to try….

Prep: Warm Shower and 5 days growth
Pre-shave: Proraso red preshave
Razor: Feather SS Folding
Blade: Festher pro guard (1)
Brush: AP shave co G5c 28mm
Bowl: Captains choice copper
Soap: PAA Atomic Age Bay Rum
Splash: PAA Atomic Age Bay Rum
Balm: baume.be aftershave balm

Love the scent of this soap and super slick so thought it was a good place to start. Took my time (40min start to finish….) WTG and XTG twice, ATG on cheeks.

Had my trusty Rockwell 6c on standby but not required! 5 small weepers later, done. Lovely shave - not BBS but a very close comfortable shave.

Looking forward to rolling it out again… think it’s one for the weekends with the time taken though!View attachment 87009

The Speick has been sitting at the back of the cupboard for a few years now (no travel), and I think the scent has faded, but it’s lathering ability has certainly not. The very soft and not overly resilient Green Ray created a rich and protective layer, and the Fatboy on 9 achieved a smooth and comfortable result in two passes. Very nice.

Post: MSC Pole Position AS

Decent shave this morning, good enough scent on this pole position, most of it seems to sit in the splash which is no great drama and means a decent finish off. This is similar in strength to 'Only The Brave' so I suspect won't have massive staying power.

Smooth and ready for the day ahead, taking the little one to seal island and a quick pass by the penguins, always novel seeing penguins on the beach so I'm sure she'll get a kick out of it.
