I feel like I flirt with this idea every 6 months or so. Looking to try a SR now I have a DE collection I’m very happy with.

I’m thinking a Friodur, they seem reasonable price wise as I don’t want to go to extreme on the pricing but would like something decent and good condition.

I don’t trust eBay so thought I’d try here?

I can’t be sure about the top one - the bigger blade is 7/8” and maybe a bit more. They are both great shavers.

Unfortunately I have zero experience with custom efforts, only what I've seen on here, mainly with the Koraats. The only reason I haven't gone that route (yet) was because I am finding out exactly what I am most comfortable with before splashing the cash.

Yeah and wouldn’t imagine much market on the BST

Koraat and Drew Dick are good options Jon. My advice would be to start with a professionally sharpened inexpensive vintage razor to see if you like it first. Then invest more once you have decided what suits you best.
