March 2021 Acquisitions

I said 'no more soaps' on 3rd March. Then along came the Connaught EU clearance and I succumbed - like a junkie in a poppy field. 3 times I went back to fill my snout....

Yes, some of those are backups and yes I'm aware that I've previously owned and sold some of these to you.

I ordered the 4.3 Dolomiti as well , reckon that will be heaven i love Dolomiti and i am a big fan of the 4.3 Beta, be interested to see what you think of the 4.2 as have never used that one. I will say this for your Chris , you don't mess about :).

Blatant beg ...

If any of you fellows end up with a kilo of TFS from Connaught's, please get in touch if you fancy swapping 100g of it for 100g of VITOS green.
Actually, a very kind chap has come forward and offered to send me his largely unused consignment. There'll be way too much for me, so I'll be chopping it up and will run a series of PIFs in due course.

Blackland collection top up, and a suitably enabled brush buy, @donnie_arko & @pjgh
I needed a couple of Piggies in the collection, I moved on a couple a while back.
A SOC TAJ & a Torga

The Proraso? I haven't tried it and I used the bulk2 promo code @shavingstation, and TSR code at Connaught.
Usual brilliant service from both suppliers.
Both brushes shampooed and 1st test lathers done. Promising.

Thanks for the tag Tony, I've read good things about both but for the Torga which is new it is supposed to be an interesting brush, I think it has quite a dense knot and takes a while to break in?

From my experience, the boar brushes with more processed/bleached bristles take longer to break in.

The new Turkish boar I bought is very strange though, the bristles are so treated they almost feel like plastic and it took me a while to work out is actually boar!

Seeing as a lot of people got some big hauls recently ( and some got already huge collections too - totally not hinting at @Boycie83 ) I’m really wondering how/where you store all your shaving kit, software and hardware...
time to start new thread!
I started in November 2020 @Scorpio93, I have today 40 soaps/creams 14 ASL, 10 Balms, 4 razors, 600 blades & 1 PreShave Cream.
I think that's it for me for say 5-10 years :)

I'm too scared to count how much gear I have, but it'll be slowly nearing that lol! definitely not as many razors or blades ( from blades I am tempted to buy some 7 o'clock blacks, seem to be best ones that I've tried so far, but 90% of blades in my stash I haven't tried yet).

you say 5-10 years... but I bet more purchases will be coming soon! :D

No this is definitely relevant to your where do you store it question, I'm literally at least 90% in on space availability for the lot ive got atm :)

hmm - I reckon at the beginning of the journey we are so inexperienced with scents and so eager to try everything - then you just narrow down to what you really prefer, and for some it ends up being a handful of things, and for some bit more than that :D

Personally I do enjoy variety too but I can already see myself reaching for some stuff more often than others!
