Quick 2 pass shave today with the grain and against the soap preformed great just like all the other razorock soaps , the scent is strange not what I was expecting its like tea tree oil & grass mixed  apart from that it was a very nice shave

...sticking with the same set-up for a while, well at least the Taj Mixi. I plan to use it for a month or so to open-up the knot. Still really, really enjoying the brush. The Olaf Rasmussen is also shining, it has been a while since I have used this razor regularly. Terrific low profile head, delivers a medium-aggressive shave, a tad more aggressive than a Weber PH but with more blade feel. Indeed the razor appears to amplify a blades characteristics, a bit like the Fatip OC does; a Rapira SS today did the job. A close, smooth, comfortable shave was had, and what a lather the Taj Mixi whips up...

I love the look of your razor, very nice indeed. P.

Fri 15th June
Omega 10005
Blues Shaving Soap
Gem MMBT
Gem S/S ( 5 )
Pitralon Original A/S lotion

I have now reduced my cache of Razors, and have one version of each of the 3 Gem MM on offer. I kept the one I used today as it is quite a nice specimen c/w case.
Being a mild Razor I thought the BT would be good to use with a blade on the wane. My instincts were good as the Shave though smooth took quite a bit of effort on my part to get a passable Shave. I do like the weight and feel the weight of the MMBT and reckon it would be a great Daily Razor for those with a less tough beard the mine.

A new carbon blade in the Sabre, the slickness of Stirling and a splash of Old Spice, the weekend starts here.
Happy Shaving one and all.

Pre: Glyce Lime
Razor: Edwin Jagger DE89
Blade: Supermax Super Stainless
Brush: PAA Green Ray
Soap: Palmolive Stick
Post: Fols for men Cedarwood and Neroli

Cold water shave, Palmolive stick excellent as ever. Amazing the difference cold water makes, blades that used to nick are much better now.

No photo again for today as a bit of a rushed shave before work...... never a good idea!

Pre: Shower and Bulldog face wash
Soap: P&B Volupta
Brush: Yaqi Red Marble synthetic
Razor: Yaqi DOC head Bulldog handle
Blade: Personna Lab Blue (3)
Post: Cold water rinse and Thayers unscented Witch Hazel
AS: Nivea 2 Phase

Shave went alright, but a bit rushed. No drastic errors but neck still a bit sore / red and bumpy. Was considering changing back to the EJ89, but thought I'd persevere with the OC. Will change it slightly for the next shave... thinking the EJ89 top plate, and the Yaqi OC bottom part, not sure if that will make it more or less aggressive?... see how it goes
Have a great evening guys

Prep:
Valobra Glycerlanolina soap, Myrsol Emulsion
Brush: Paladin Lotus Select Badger
Soap: Declaration Grooming/Chantillon Lux Yuzu/Rose/Patchouli
Razor: Rockwell 6C (4)
Blade: Polsilver Super Iridium (2)
Post: Thayers Cucumber Witch Hazel / Myrsol Emulsion
Scent: Acca Kappa1869 EdP

World Cup Shave! It's 3am here in Perth, and after some pretty average matches so far, I've squeezed in a shave prior to the Iberian Derby between Portugal and Spain. It's now halftime, and what a first 45!
Back to shaving. The Yuzu/Rose/Patchouli scent of the Declaration soap is superb, both off the puck and when lathering. And loads of glorious bison tallow lather.
The Paladin continues to break in nicely - it is a class act.
After the last shave with the Rockwell, I was a little more aggressive with my approach, and was rewarded with an improvement to DFS+ after three passes. I have the feeling that I'm not quite finding the angle at times.
I was looking for a match for the soap scent to finish. Some Portuguese and Spanish options came to mind, but to stay neutral, I chose a fragrance from a country who unbelievably did not qualify for the tournament. And what a beautiful fragrance - Acca Kappa 1869.

Good luck tomorrow Tom. I think your boys might need it.
