SOTD: Saturday 6th January - Friday 12th January 2018.

Ha ha - thank you. Yes that's exactly the sort of furry footpad bastards I was talking about. Have your iPhone off you as soon a look at you. The local catnip supply chain under their paw. If it happens on their manor - the big Tabby gets a cut - everybody is happy. Nobody gets scratched. Ha ha. Thank you collectively for your kind words and well wishes - yours - I.

Vitos Preshave Cream
Haslinger Honig Shave Soap
Zenith Euro-Al Boar Brush
Ikon SBS on + setting with a Windrose Handle
Dorco Titan Blade
Alum Block and Rinse

Astra SP Test

Day 1

After a wee pause, we're back with the four day blade test – this week the legendary Astra SP.
So far, we have
  1. Shark SS
  2. Gillette Nacet
I wanted a good length of whiskers to give the Astra SP a good initial outing, hence three days growth. And, I am surprised, but also not surprised. I am surprised by the smoothness of today's three passes – effortless, and I truly am BBS – one weeper (my fault), but not surprised as lots of shavers like this blade. I can see why, a great start to this test. On par with the first two blades. For those keeping track – yes, I accidently swapped soaps, today should be the Molton Brown and Wednesday P&B Citra Royale, but give a man a break – I do not think straight at 6:30am (PRE COFFEE).

Tomorrow – Astra and OSP Fourgere (last time out with the Gillete Nacet, I had issues with the soap or was it the soap)

Cheers,

Brian

Post: Lucky Tiger Aftershave

Marvelous shave!
Third shave with the blade and best one so far. Interesting the first two shaves were done on smaller blade gap and this shave was done on more aggressive setting. Yet, my skin felt best after this shave. I guess on milder setting I was chasing for a better result and in the end irritated my face.
Soap performance great, as usual. Really happy with Lucky Tiger as I used it alone, without any balm. It is different than my regular alcohol based aftershave, and at first it does not leaves the skin gentle and smooth but couple of hours later it feels great, smooth but refreshed, not dry.

Pre: Warm water face wash

Soap: TOBS Sandalwood
Razor: Cobra Classic
Blade: Feather Pro

What a way to start the week, the Postie delivered the Cobra and the Cobra delivered a cracking shave.
I don't have any Prolines so I loaded a Feather Pro and began my shave with a mild sense of trepidation. Completely unnecessary, as with the lightest of touches, I had one of the shaves of my life.
A mild tingle from the TOBS splash and my week gets off to a terrific start.
Dolphin smooth, with a dolphin grin to match.

Why have you not got any Prolines, must be essential for Injector users now they have been discovered.
