It is exceedingly rare to see an original Valet strop in that condition, I'll bet that has not been folded into three in a Valet box or tin for 70 years!

Regards
Dick.

First time I've used a Damaskeene (many thanks @mpf9ret) and have been really looking forward to it as I've seen a few who rate it higher than a British 1912.
I don't know about that, though to be honest the blade was past its best (4). I'll put a fresh blade in tomorrow and give it a fair go.
I'd still highly recommend the Dammo to any vintage SE enthusiast and I look forward to tomorrow's shave with it.

Good morning Dick, it's one of a few of NOS Valet strops I managed to pick up , all in origanal boxes in perfect condition, very lucky. :) P.

Greetings All,

Wednesday shave.

One days' growth and warm shave

Preparation – face washed with Clique Liquid facial soap (mild)

Pre: None
Soap: TOBS Lavender Shaving cream
Razor: Rockwell 6C (3P)
Blade: Pol Silver (4th)
Brush: RazoRock 400 Noir

Post Shave: Cold water rinse, then a shower and to conclude Proraso aftershave lotion (red) and Nivea 2 Phase.

First use of the TOBS Lavender shaving cream – thick, cream lather and had a very pleasant scent so enjoyable. Another very comfortable 3 pass shave this morning. Couple of weepers, again due to over doing the touch ups. Still a happy boy this morning.

Enjoy Hump Day :D

Prep: Hot shower and L'Oreal Charcoal face wash
Razor: ATT R1 with Atlas handle
Razor blade: Gillette Platinum (3)
Brush: Zenith Manchurian
Bowl: Little Wren Pottery
Soap: D.R. Harris Arlington
Post: Lashings of cold water and Fine American Blend

Received the Zenith Manchurian today which I bought from @Rohleder after he decided he's a "synthetic man" .... tuts and shakes head.:confused::p

I really like it. It feels quite big compared to my other 26mm knots. The handle feels great in the hand. There is some scritch or scratch or whatever you want to call it but not much. I'm hoping this will go after I've used it a few times.
Plenty of backbone too.
@Bandito
@Looney12345

The shave was excellent. The Gillette Platinum works a treat in the R1, smooth and efficient.
The Arlington soap is a great performer and gives great protection. No weepers or irritation.

And now for something completely different...
I'm not one for looking back or wanting to go back in time but...I would have loved to see Jimi Hendrix live.
Is there a better tv performance? Answers on a postcard...........The answers 'NO' BTW.:cool:

Cheers
Rob
+1nfinity for the Experience clip, never ceases to amaze me how full a sound they got as a three piece. Love the way he sneaks "I Feel Fine" into "Hey Joe"
