Very true Paul. I've been very fortunate a number of members have trusted me with the treasured razors. It's saved me a boat load of cash and I'm extremely grateful to each and every one of them for showing their trust me.

Saying that @wayne mattison did threaten me with punishment of death:eek: if I lost his Mongoose….which is fair enough.:D
Just punishment of death, I think he was being more than fair! :)

Nah. Where's the fun in that. I've already started looking at a Streamline but I think they might be out of my price range for now.
I found the Streamline the hardest of the Gems/ERs to find the angle on but once you find it, it's a lovely shaver.
If you haven't tried a 1914 or 1924, I'd highly recommend either.
The 1912's still my favourite though.

Morning shave.

BBA Face Wash (sample), BBA Shave Oil, bloom water.
OSP Neroli Soap.
Maseto 30mm 2 Band Finest (face lathered).
Rockwell 6C (plate 4).
Perma-Sharp (2).
Thayers Witch Hazel (unscented).
OSP Neroli Aftershave.
BBA Balm.

High quality hard and software for a high quality shave. Away for a few days this afternoon so now I have to somehow decide what shaving gear to take with me ;).

Vie Long 04503
Fatip Testina Gentile
Supermax Super Platinum (3)
Archaic Alchemy Citrus Mint
Thayers Rose, Nivea 2 Phase & Myrsol Blue

A little tickle of menthol to start the week, a very nice soap this one, an artisan from Mexico. The Vie Long is superb as always and has a wee bit of scritch but nice and soft. Like a badger/boar hybrid. Once again the Fatip gave a perfect blemish free shave, quickly rising up the ranks as a favourite, to my pleasant surprise.

He did not mention the hung drawn and quartering that takes place before death, if you lose a treasured razor which might be irreplaceable.;):(
