Pre: Proraso White
Brush: Omega 40033
Razor: Merkur 34C HD
Blade: Wilkinson Sword (2)
Soap: Extro Arzachena Shaving Cream
Post: Thayers Rose, Aloe Vera Gel & Extro Arzachena Aftershave/EDT
Entetainment: Paradise by Dante Alighieri (Canto XVIII - XXII)

A bit different this week, for the rest of June I will be sticking with the same soap Mon-Fri and maybe the same equiptment.

I don't know about Proraso White, its for sensitive skin but I find it harsher than the Green. I have no issues with menthol but both the soap and pre shave give me odd sensations. Last time I used the pre shave it left me a little red and today was no different.

Pre shave aside a great shave was had. I enjoy these Extro products and the scents are very nice and pleasant. No issues with lather and slickness. I would like to try more of their products in the future. Powering through The Divine Comedy audio book, makes a nice complement whilst shaving. Inferno was easy to read but struggled in Purgatory and Paradise is much more pleasant!

Maiden voyage SABI T-1 aka NY Shaving Mariner aka Toro Mastiff LH aka Boss Razor ($14.99). With Permasharp and one shim a very aggressive and efficient shaver. I had some difficulty at the end of the head shave where some ATG buffing was required and the Star DE proved to be an easier go at this cleanup work, but nonetheless a stupid good deal as the Boss on US Amazon. An Atlas H1 for the working class. 136g.

Last night's shave
Nivea Men Active Wash
BBA Pre Shave Oil
RazoRock 400 Plissoft noir (getting the hang of this brush now, feed it lots of water!!)
EJ DE89L/Astra SP (3)
RazoRock Caribbean Holiday Soap
Hot/cold rinse.
Brut Original EDT
Argan oil post shave (non branded from Savers)

The BBA oil performed really well, aided glide and slickness.
No dramas at all from this combo for me.
The argan oil was probably not needed as the BBA oil had already left my skin supple, even after two passes and rinsing.

I think I'll wait until the Merkur 37c arrives before I shave again. It'll give it something to go at. it should arrive on Wednesday.

Monday 5th June
Zenith 507 TS
OSP Shogun Cream
QShave Adjustable
Shark Stainless #2
Rinse > Alum > Rinse
Electrif's Bay Rum
Gillette Pro 3in1 Balm
CLsFffq.jpg

2nd outing for the QShave/Shark was just as good as the 1st. Setting 5 for the 1st pass, 4 for remainder. Smooth and highly enjoyable result.
The OSP Shogun cream has a fruity top scent that reminds me of the Swizzles Fizzers sweets, quite unique and very pleasant.

Good shaves all…

You won't be dissapointed with the Merkur 37c.;)..A wonderful razor, very smooth and efficient..No special shaving technique is required just shave with it as you normally do.Regards.

IMAG0664_1.jpg Evening all.
Been away since last Wednesday so have not posted any sotd.
Just finished a very wet days work and decided an overdue shave was in order.
First up the qshave, it seems a bit unbalanced to me, the head definitely quite large, handle a bit short for me but I have shovels for hands.
Set it on 3 with a Sputnik loaded.
First pass effective and mild, second against ok, third across it started getting stingy on the throat.
Not the closest, several places not slick, but overall happy enough for a first use.
Also first use of the Albion soap, easy to load the boar brush, smells very nice indeed, slick, but wouldn't say cushioning, but probably my poor technique at obtaining a lather.
Executive shave oil,
Qshave clone,
Sputnik blade #1,
P+b Albion soap,
Grosvenor boar brush,
Superdrug as balm,
Parfums de Marley Herod.
