Pre...Shower / BBA Shave Oil
Razor....Supply SE (polished) #3 plate
Blade....Schick #5 ?
Soap...OSP Spice Road
Brush....Semouge 2000
Post....Thayers Lavender
EDP....Oud 24 hours

A good clean shave from the Supply & Schick, it would be interesting to try and order some Proline blades for this razor or maybe cut one of my P20's down just to see if it changes things as it did with the General, but was left smooth and looking good :)

Have a great day people.....:)

After yesterday's somewhat disappointing shave with the EJ 3D Laser Diamond, I went back to my Merkur Furtur with a brand new Astra, OSP Sandalwood and the second run of the Semogue 2000. A little more lather produced and less of a tingle with the boar hair but the shave was BBS and felt so much better.

I am not sure that i will go back to the EJ, it was fine as a starter but I am finding that, for me, it just does not cut the mustard. YMMV

Have a great day.

Razor: Parker 48R.

Warm wet flannel/ cold wet flannel to rinse my face.

Peppermint Oil & Witch Hazel Mixture./ Superdrug: Sierran Breeze A/S.

Tesco Sensitive Body Lotion.

Greetings,

Another experimental shave with the soap bowl , this time i scraped a small clump of soap into my mixing bowl, bloomed it for a few minutes in warm water, this provided me with a rich creamy protective lather for my shave, and adding the bloom water to my pre-shave routine...
Resulting in a very smooth efficient 3 pass + pick ups silky smooth shave with no errors to report.

Second shave with my 48R, and it performed wonderfully with the Rapira Platinum Lux.

My face is feeling fresh,and super smooth...Enjoy your day,ladies & gentlemen.

Tabac Tuesday

Snapseed.jpg

Wilkinson Sword DE
Wilkinson Sword Blade (1)
Midas Silvertip
Tabac Soap
Tabac EDC

I didn't particularly enjoy this shave, unfortunately. It was going alright throughout much of the first pass but I think I'm becoming more aware of the fact I enjoy blade feel and I enjoy a more aggressive razor. I think I got a little 'scrub-happy' and, as a result, am a little uncomfortable in places. Not to say that it was a terrible result, or that I've cut myself to shreds, but I have a gut feeling it would have been a better shave with the Futur Clone. The Wilkinson Sword DE is absolutely fine for beginners, there's no denying that, but for a comparable price and added heft and adjustability the Futur certainly comes out on top. I think I'll be putting the WS to the back of the drawer. Tabac soap lit up the bathroom with it's yoghurty, shiny goodness and I thought it best to pair the soap with a matching EDC. The Midas is really quite the performer, especially as a paint-brush, though it's certainly scrubby enough for me!

Have a good Tuesday, all.
