First shave with the QShave Futur clone was just great. Was worried about blade flex going ATG on my head, so added one shim and compensated .5 for the added blade gap, and at 2.5 with a fresh Permasharp had no problems at all getting to as quick a BBS on my head as I've seen. I'm gonna go out on a limb and say worth the $6.

Are you willing to risk it without the shim? :p Also a very nice setup you have there. Would the shim make the, already aggressive, razor more aggressive?

I'll try next time without . It was ok on my face but I've heard many head shavers complain about blade flex. The shim does increase blade gap, which is why you compensate a half position, but on the Futur it also extends slightly the platform the blade sits on and should reduce blade flex somewhat.

Nice change back to DE's. This my favourite adjustable wound up to my favourite setting gave an excellent close result. Pleased I stocked up on the Voskhods, excellent value.

Today an Injector Shave, using the Type I 1 which like many of the modern Schicks is rather
mild when used with a single blade. So far I have used it the N3 & Adjustable with a Twin Blade,
which totally alters the performance level.

With the usual copious lather from the Haslinger ,the Shave was smooth comfortable and very close all round. In fact the finish is up there with those I have got with the AC powered Razors
that I have used. Just a shame that these blades are quite expensive, but I save a bit by only
using EDT sparingly, and my brushes are all quite inexpensive but seem to do the job.

Another great shave. Lords used to be my favorite fragrance in soap and aftershave, but it has slipped now to around fourth position. I still like it.

Lovely composition. I have been thinking of dipping my toe back into DE world, and I have not forgotten those Blades.
