Arrived today courtesy of Maggard Razors. It took 12 days to be delivered using their economy postage.
I've already got some more soaps on there way from them.
I'll be using it later, keep 'em peeled on SOTD.
If you don't mind Rob, can you tell me what the shipping costs are for a tub of soap from Maggards. Cheers, Pat.

No worries. One tub is $6.93 via Economy International (7-14 day). So around £5.60.
Two tubs: $10.93 via Economy International (10-20 day, no Tracking). Around £8.79

I used it last night and it performed OK but nothing spectacular. I did use it with a R41 head for last night's shave, so maybe not the ideal test as I'm having issues with it at the moment. I was expecting it to be more slick TBH. It's nowhere near as slick as D.R. Harris for instance. I'll definitely be using D.R. Harris for my first Straight shave.
Fingers crossed my SR will be with me this time next week.

Do you have them plated in gold or nickel? Is the shave similar to a NEW?Received another $20 Gillette Goodwill in the mail.
This one also from Canada. It' not that much to look at but it's another re-plate candidate for Chris at Razorplate this month as he is already slated to work on the other Goodwill that I have...
It certainly has been used over the years...
....but managed to stay intact in term of straight teeth and no cracks in the handle
It would be rather fun to have both of them restored to former glory...
