Shave: Saponificio Varesino 70th Anniversary soap / ESC Silver Tip Turnback / 34cHD + Personna Platinum (1)
Post: Witch hazel / Saponificio Varesino 70th Anniversary After Shave Lotion

Was in a bit of a rush this morning, so I cut a couple of things from my usual routine, but I did enjoy the shaving soap and my turn back brush...it's really for travel but it's fantastic to use at home too.

First time use of both the blade and soap. From YT video of the Arko I applied directly to my hydrated face and then face lathered with the brush. The lather was good and slick for the first pass but unfortunately the second pass it was failing and the third pass it was very weak off the brush. I might need to work on it.

Nice one Mark...you'll always find the lather weaker after the first pass because you've removed a lot of the beard that helps to generate the lather with the tips of the brush...however, after the first pass you don't need quite so much lather anyway! Sounds to me like you're doing everything right m8!

OK...a Mongoose and two bottles of Penhaligan IN THE SAME SHAVE!? I suspect that the reason for the economic downturn is that you have all the money!o_O;):) (Nice...I think you're a greedy bastard but I still like you!:D)

I have a couple of origanal pucks of old spice shave soap that lathers up nicely but it has lost some of its fragrance and I also have the origanal shulton old spice aftershave that smells like it should....great. The new old spice aftershave and the old spice shaving cream from India is not the same, close but not the same.
If you hunt around on the bay you can pick up original shulton old spice but people are charging an arm and a leg for it.
So Mrs B is right, the new stuff isn't the same.
