SOTD Saturday August 6th-Friday August 12th 2016

The dark Bad boy Fatip loaded with a Polsilver attacked a 4 days slobber growth on a bed of green Vitos, Ai Karambah!!

This was a fucking good shave excuse my Italian.

Polished it off with some Susan Darnnel Aftershaving.
Now that is a good start for the dreaded Monday. [emoji43]

'...slobber growth...' You should trademark that; it's a howler ☺

Gillette Canadian pre-war Tech (best Tech model IMO)
Gillette Platinum
blade (3rd shave)
Valobra shave soap
MÜHLE Silvertip synthetic
Aqua Velva AS

Simply wow. This is one of those combos that hits on all cylinders. ;)

American Fat Handle Tech Pre-war (1938-41), with triangular gaps (not oblong) in the baseplate beats the Canadian hands down (IMO). Works beautifully with Personna Israeli Reds, Feather, Polsilver SI et al. Just slightly aggressive...but with due care and attention...delivers a tremendous shave.

Be well everyone.

Are you comparing Canadian pre-war or post-war? There is a Helluva difference, moreso than with those two American styles. Read this:

From the link:

"...So the blade gap for this razor is 0.67mm as opposed to 0.56mm for regular Techs.
That makes it slightly more aggressive (in terms of blade gap at least) than a US Red Tip!
