News on Wickhams 1912 shave soap

Bay Rum arrived today and got an immediate test lather. Ahhh, what a great soap! I can see why you shelved it in favour of Spice Trade but I'm so glad you put this one together ... now, how about that Garden Mint as the next limited edition, eh? Parma Violet, maybe? Eh? Eh? :D

I'm a definite lover of Foxys Bayrum but never got to try his Spice Trade.

I recently read that it's pretty close to old Spice. Is that right?

What did you mean when you said you could see why he shelved it, are they similar scents etc?
 
I havn't logged in much as of late. Glad I stumbled across this thread though. Although gutted I missed the bay rum!
I'll keep my eyes peeled for the next two to drop.
Its perfect timing as I've been using the same soap since July as I wanted to use one at a time now. Thats almost gone too!
 
His unscented (from ages ago), once matured is a dead-ringer for a vintage soap I have from Habitat. South Sea Spray also has a really old-fashioned scent and is very much like a vintage Rolls Razor soap I have ... "freshly washed cotton sheets billowing in the breeze" is my poofy description.
 
Just an update gents;

1912 the new hard soap from Wickhams is currently with the toxicologist so should be available in the next 6 weeks, maybe a week or two less. I am very excited about this soap and feel positive that the shaving community will like it too.

The scent lines will be posted later as they are currently being written.

I have also decided to discontinue Spice Trade Super Smooth, so for anyone who enjoys the soap better grab the last of what they can before the last batch has gone. I have also reduced the price on this to clear it all this weekend. Link to website in my signature below ▼▼▼

Never tried spice trade before, but if I'm gonna take a gamble it's a safe bet with Darron :)

I was lucky enough to receive a tub of 1912 from Darron. A great performer and if you like Mikes Barbershop.... you'll love this.;)

Sweet baby Jesus in the manger!! You've got to be kidding me!! :eek: First, Shulton in India reformulates and then this!! For the love of all that is holy, is nothing sacred anymore? :(

You have to make this in a hard soap as well as a version of the old Yardley that so many lament in passing.
