Quick shave, cup of coffee, then out the door!
Your posts are so cool. I went to pixlr to check it out and like the speed and ease of use. Thanks for the tip.

Last couple shaves have just been ok. First day I figured the lather was probably off and yesterday I noticed the experience wasn't great but continued anyway. Hah, I was unwilling to chalk it up to a bad vintage Schick fresh blade.....favorite of mine. Sure as hell though, this morning after a few mediocre strokes I switched that blade out and jeeez, what a difference. The Gillette blade made shaving more fun inna hurry.

That's be a duff blade, then, eh, Martin?

Prep - Woods Of Windsor Cedar Woods soap / Pre-lather / 3 min steam
Razor - Ever Ready 1912
Blade - Personna GEM SE Stainless (#10)
Brush - Shavemac Raptor 26/52 DO1 3 Band Bulb
Soap - Monsavon Bol à Raser
After - Frozen towel / Cien Ice A/S
Result - Dolphin Smooth

Well I did it, I reached ten shaves on the palm-stropped blade. I don't know if I'm more shocked about this or the fact that today's shave was every bit as good as the first shave with it. Without stropping I always got five out of it so I think this proved its effectiveness. For reference, I am stropping thirty times between shaves. How long will it last?
My first go with Monsavon, actually forgot I had it. I'm very impressed, lather was really rich but can anyone tell me what this smells of? Post shave feel is very good if this is anything to go by.

SOTD - Tuesday
Soap: Catie's Bubbles "La Terre Verte"
Brush: Paladin Falstaff, 24mm 2-band Select
Razor: Delta Echo Slim
Blade: NOS Schick twin-blade (2)
Post: Thayer's witch hazel followed by Fine "Fresh Vetiver" ASL and a squirt of TF "Grey Vetiver"
A day of firsts. First time using this brush and blade. Brush is a new release from Paladin using their "Select" knots. This one has fantastic backbone and splay with zero scritch, but the handle is a bit small for me (similar in size to a Chubby-1).
This blade is a serious whisker-wacker! Mowed down my stubble with ease, I could have stopped after one pass for a DFS but pressed on for an easy BBS with some buffing. These blades weren't cheap, but I'm hoping they go a good distance.

Ok, what am I missing? Was there a recent thread I didn't read or something? Not that I would ever be set up.

Sigh, yes Carl, a duff blade. It was sad, seeing as how I have under 30 of these left, and also the first dud ever after using a bunch before. From 1969 'Super Platinum' not seen all that often.

Post 2: Dove Revitalise+ Moisturiser

I've been using my recently acquired Aristocrat Junior for the last 4 days now. Absolutely loving it and I see why this razor has such a good reputation. Different to many Gillette TTOs due to the additional weight in the head, but once you are used to it very comfortable to use. Just a whisker less bite than a HD500 in my opinion. Why on earth Wilkinson don't replace the 'blue bowl of death' with the soap from their sticks just defies logic to me, on the other hand they peddle poor blades as well now. Face lathered as usual and can't really fault anything with this soap.
