Have you found your best razor or are you still searching

Of the razors I've tried my favourite so far is a 40ies-50ies Rocket (don't know the exact year or model, do we have a razor ID thread somewhere?). Despite brassing, a bent side plate (?) and silo doors that open unevenly it gives a smooth, effective and forgiving shave, even nicer than my Aristocrat Junior. The search goes on though, there are still razors I haven't tried and now I want a mint rocket, in its box, for under £25!

This is a fine piece of work - www.mr-razor.com and this is a helpful forum post (not here though)http://theshaveden.com/forums/threads/gillette-rocket-the-refined-de.8590/

I've tried a lot and still have a lot to try but the best for me in terms of efficiency and result is the PAL Inject-O-Matic with some Chinese Schicks. Luckily I got a nice minty cased one with paperwork for barely any money at all before @Fergiebilly drove the prices up with his propaganda campaign:D

But I don't use it all the time or even 50% of the time - I enjoy the different feel and feedback from various razors.

Greetings

I still believe and have done so for several years that the OCMM is the King of Safety razors, I still shave with lots of other razors and will continue to do so but I am not searching for any razors in an attempt to beat it.

As for DE razors, I have a few and have tried several more but I tend to think that DE shaving razor development in terms of efficiency probably ended with the Gillette 'New'.

Regards
Dick.

Have quite a number of DE's and SE's but I'll keep on going regardless of how good a shave I get, I just happen to like using a range of them. They appease the gadget freak in me.
The best shave I've had by a considerable margin, is with a Clog Pruf, which as I've often said, I doubt the best barber and straight could better. We're talking dolphin smooth for at least 24 hours.
With a DE, a Tech and Feather combination would be very hard to better. All of my vintage Gillettes give me fantastic shaves, it just depends on having the best blade for that particular razor although there are a couple of blades that are brilliant in all that I've tried, Personna Lab Blues, Gillette Silver Blues and Perma-Sharp Supers. The latter blade particularly in a Rocket HD always offers exceptional results.
I strive to get the best from each razor so I'll keep buying until I have all the models I want.

NO.
Found perfect kamisori Iwasaki tamahagane, got rid of all others kamisori except another one Inoue Tosuke kinmoji.
At the moment testing straight razors, when I find perfect, will leave couple of them and move to SE and at the end maybe DE.
Who will be king of all razors? Stay tuned for decade or two.
