Socks

A slight hi-jack as this is an old tread and my topic is associated, as in 'socks and jocks'.

Any good, reasonably priced cotton briefs you can recommend, fellas? Is it my time to part company with M&S?
Hilfiger Trunks. Wore CK for years, but was bought some of the Hifigers by the wife. Revelation - way better fit and cut. Colour my knackers impressed!

I wear Polo Ralph Lauren boxers and socks. I tend to stock up on Black Friday and day after Christmas. It gets me through the year. The RL socks I get because they seem to last longer than anything else, plus the embrodieried ponies on the side help me match them up (and help me tell the difference between blue and black socks). The boxers I wear because they fit better than any other brand I've tried, and they last longer too.

I wear the Dickies work socks as they are made to wear with steel toed boots, which I'm required to wear as a fitter welder. Regular socks leave the tops of my toes rather chafed in those.

I cant be doing with 'undies',the last time I wore any was in 91'.My 'equipment' is so big,I find an elastic band does the job just fine, but, after a while,it does dig into my knee somewhat....
In the olden days,(pre 91),silk boxers were the weapon of choice,

During the Victorian era, it was common for men to get a 'Prince Albert' piercing for the sole purpose of tying their twig to their leg. The berries presumably, were allowed to swing free.

These days the market seems to be awash in cotton socks followed by bamboo rayon socks, with very few wool socks to be found. I can't stand cotton socks as they don't absorb perspiration very well so by mid-day it feels as though I'm standing in a swamp. Bamboo rayon socks just don't stay on my feet well and bunch up towards my toes and aren't great at absorbing perspiration either. In consequence I'm forever on the look out for quality merino wool socks with a hint of nylon for durability. Such socks aren't cheap, but they are comfortable, absorbing perspiration well and staying in place. The downside is that they mostly come in bog standard, boring styles, but I'll take comfort over style any time.

Smartwool socks. Look no further as they are the best IMO:

I switched from M&S to Next and got a 5 pack of black trunks with brightly coloured highlighting for £20 which I find are better quality, they do lots of different briefs too

Maybe the best socks I've ever owned.
Got my first pair a couple of weeks ago and have another 2-3 pair on their way.
Also, gotta love their warranty.

These are their hike/trek line but they have a lot of different versions.
