Ok i've got 2 Yaqi brushes the one below which is a 30mm black fiber and a 30mm tuxedo. And I have to say the Yaqi black fiber is miles softer than their tuxedo. Wow the brush as beautiful. Its a sweet spot between an APshave's tuxedo and cashmere. Its not like the boss knot which I thought it would feel like due to the looks.

I have 6 synthetic brushes and two of them are Yaqi tuxedos a 24 and a 30mm and I can confirm the fibers are defo different on the black. The softness overall is a combo of softer tips and softer fibers in their full length. It has backbone but not as much as the Yaqi tuxedo. More than a APshave cashmere and near identical to an APShave tux. The caveat that as reported the Yaqi tux's backbone is not from the amount of the fibers, the thickness of fibers or the tensile strength of the fibers, IMO its drawn from its clue bump.Soft as in no backbone?
They have started selling them as one offs on facebook. And they will be releasing them on the ali store from march.I was thinking the same the other day.
On an other note, will they some day sell the brushes they developed shown on their FB page?
To all of you who possess Yaqi brushes, how short can this be?
I'm just asking because I received yesterday my Yaqi Sagrada Familia, and it's surprisingly short, too short for me actually, 49mm at most, and that's the measure at the very tip of the longest single fiber.
They have just sent out a communication stating that they are doing a discount for Valentine's Day. So it seems they had boosted the prices to make the discount look even betterYaqi: higher prices in 2018 on brushes and I believe also on shipping.
I got to admit that is a nice brush. Its going to be really stout tho be warned short handle and looks like could end up with a short loftI am waiting impatiently for the release of the brush with the Bialetti/Moka pot style amber handle.
What is the glue bump like?
