The fancy scales on this one were split at the pivot end, and even though I repaired them I wasn't happy - so here is the blade in Ebony and Acrylic scales. This is the first time I'v tried full liners with acrylic and have to say it's not the easiest material to work with. The minimum thickness you can buy is 2mm so I wanted to thin this down but it does not work well with sanding equipment because of the heat build up which meant hand sanding. Anyway, I'll put this one up for sale soon.

Looks good Rob pinning looks pretty sharp as well, as you say It's pretty much impossible to alter the thickness on the acrylic, so you must compensate by making the wood thinner than you would normally, one thing the acrylic brings to the scales they become an instant barrier against moisture and easy to clean, lot more work involved though.

Jamie.
