Wolfman WR 3

Hi ! i m expecting a GEM razor from Wolfman SB and I want some suggestions from you regarding de gap... I ve been thinking about a 0.80 gap for SB plate..Is it too aggressive in your opinion?

These are quite efficient razors.
I've tried 0.4 to 0.6 and found 0.5 to be my sweet spot.

0.4 was to mild and 0.6 to harsh.

I also got to try the 0.7 oc and that's an absolute beast lol

There's no need to get the same gap that you would for a DE

WR3 gap/ exposure
.25 = 0
.30 = 0.25
.35 = 0.05
.40 = 0.075
.45 = 0.10
.50 = 0.125
.60 = 0.15
(I believe this is correct)

Mine is a 0.7 titanium SB. If I had my time again, I wouldn't bother with titanium, I think perhaps a bit of weight wouldn't hurt. I find this a very strange razor, unlike anything else I have in terms of face feel. I get absolutely no irritation whatsoever from it, and never cut myself. And yet, I find it curiously unsatisfying. Its brother, the WR4, has become my daily driver, and that is much more conventional-feeling and dangerous!

I have a WR 4 0.80 in Titanium and it a little aggressive but I like it..

Hard to say. What other GEM razors do you enjoy?

.80 WR4 = 0.15 (with a Feather Pro)
.60 WR3 = 0.15

The open comb is excellent but less popular for some reason. I can get away with very mild sounding gaps but everyone is different.

I have Vestige Durdan, Rocnel , Blackland Sabre original second plate and the new Version of Sabre...And I must say that I like Durdan and the Original Sabre..

One of the few modern GEMs to elude me.... perhaps it's for the best.

If you have the budget you could pick two baseplates. Which metal are you thinking of?
