Wish I hadn’t parted with it so quickly?

Just wondered in this age of click and list an item for sale or click and buy, whether anyone has sold a Razor or any other item of shaving paraphernalia, only then with the passage of time to regret selling it?

If you have, what have you moved on and regretted?

If you’ve had that regret, have you then been tempted to go out and replace that item with the same - or tried and failed?

I've never sold much, aside from a few blades but PIF'd a few things. Aside from a few things (probably unobtanium blades/soaps) most things can be reacquired without too much bother if needed be.

I haven’t reached that stage either yet. I don’t delude myself that any of my stuff is irreplaceable, but i guess there are Razors out there that are rarer to find particularly if you collect the esoteric makes or perhaps even vintage stuff.

I only have had one regret. Sold a maseto silvertip back in 2020. I've searched everywhere for a replacement and never found one. Then 3 weeks ago I was looking at a brush on eBay. And up popped inspired by your recent views a maseto silvertip nos. It's breaking in nicely.

A happy ending.

I’ve had and sold two EJ 3ONE6s. Had, sold and repurchased a Gamechanger .68 and will be selling it again. Bought, sold, and repurchased several vintage Gillettes and will sell the lot hopefully soon. Biggest regret was selling the Rockwell 6S that I’d beautifully polished but since the advent of the GOAT, there’s not a single other razor I’d rather use. Enjoyed the Bayonetta but again, I will move mine on.

I had a beautiful Star 7-day cased razor set complete, and someone in Europe wanted one badly, so I sold it. Regretted it ever since. Also sold an Ikon Tech which skinned my face on the very few occasions I tried it, and I definitely wasn't unhappy to see the back of that.

I could be wrong but I assume the Rocket version is made in England and the standard one is the typically US made Super Speed.
Probably a difference in feel and materials?

Ah that makes sense now! I actually have the Red tip English version, not in the best condition but still works fine, but it's a little too aggressive razor in the shave for my liking.
