Where I've been...

...I've just got back from the hospital, having gone there on Tuesday after a minor accident. Long-term members will know that I have a brittle bone condition and may recall a couple of stays in hospital in 2016 due to fractures. Having taken residronate, a bone mineral density drug more often used for osteoporosis, for the past 3 1/2 years, I knew that the blood tests showed that my bones were much healthier than in 2016, and, despite the fact that I sit here typing with my leg in a cast, the damage directly resulting from my accident (a suspected knee fracture tiny enough to not show-up on X-ray) shows that this was indeed the case. Given what happened, I could be much worse-off. Anyway, I'll post on meteorology as and when I can over the next few weeks.

Thanks for the update Chris, and good luck with your recovery.

Just to explain my comment from yesterday evening, I'm fortunate not to have had multiple fractures, so I do think the inconvenience of taking the medication has been well worth it.
