Please don't go on about it or I will buy that as well, very temptingIt may not be budget but the price per shave on XPec makes it somewhat of a bargain, comparable with budget creams. I certainly haven't come across a bargain cream that will give me the post shave feel of something like XPec.
There is Certainly enough Water in the Tube to Cool you down that's for Sure..Over 40 years now, Ingrams all the way. Always comes on hols with me, the mix of suntanned skin and menthol is perfect

After reading good things about Kiss My Face in different threads I just ordered two bottles - unscented and I think it was lime - to try.

They also do the Lider cream which also has a good reputation
To expand on this answer:Is KMF a brushless cream?
It doesn't make a traditional lather as most people think of it. You'll never get a Santa Claus face with it, but it does lather. And, like JohnnyO said, it's very forgiving. Add a bunch of water, lather it like you hate it, and when you pull the brush away from your face, you'll have droopy, wet, meringue-like spikes everywhere. It will be one of the slickest creams you've ever used.Works well for me on either face ir bowl lathering, hiwever in a push I'd happily just work it into my face with my hands. Really is a very forgiving cream however it's approached.

Those are the two I use on a regular basis. The Lime by itself (or with Trumper's Lime soap. Love the scent, but it really is an underwhelming performer of a shave soap) and the Unscented with any shave soap that needs 'help.'After reading good things about Kiss My Face in different threads I just ordered two bottles - unscented and I think it was lime - to try.

The trick to using KmF with boar is to squeeze the brush nearly dry after soaking it. Shaking it out isn't quite enough.Got my bottles of Kiss My Face. First try: bowl lathering with boar brush was a total failure - looking pretty good in bowl but when applying to wet face it turned into soapy water - and looking at brush for more lather, nope all gone. Second try can only be described as Wow!: face lathering with synthetic brush - must have hit the sweet spot - thick - slick lather - plenty of it.
