Direnzo Type 250F
This is from a small microbrand funded through Kickstarter and Indiego. Designed by an Italian architect, Sergio Direnzo, uses a Seiko NH35 movement, double domed sapphire crystal with anti reflective coating, cream dial,brown leather strap and made in Switzerland. It is named after the Maserati 250F that Juan Manuel Fangio drove in the 1957 F1 race at the Nurburgring where he broke the record nine times in the last ten laps.
The Swatch watches don't have a TC quartz movement? Not sure, but it would be cool if they have.Slightly off topic, but today I changed out the Renata 390 battery that I had bought off of Ebay back in the Fall of 2016. As Renata batteries are next to impossible to find retail in the USA I bought a Rayovac replacement as I read that they are made by Renata for Rayovac. Regardless, I paid approx. double for the Rayovac at retail.
I am utterly amazed at the accuracy of run of the mill Swatch quartz watches. I check my time against Atomic Time usually every two weeks and without fault my Swatch (as did the last one before it died) may run ½ sec. fast. Now I know that is not some scientific test, but nonetheless it is unbelievable. That's HEQ territory. This year marks 30 yrs. that I have owned a Swatch and I am as loyal as a hound.

My wife has a Certina DS Action with a TC quartz (COSC certified as well) which so far is very accurate as well. In the past month it gained less than a second (compared to the atomic clock time source I use to set the time against)...
I only have one pet peeve with most ETA quartz movements; the irregularity of the second hand motion. The high end Omega movements (e.g. in the Seamaster X-33) and the recent Longines VHP movement show that they can do it right. Why not fix it for their other quartz movements?Since the own/manufacture ETA they use their own movements obviously which are the best unless you want to shell out mega money for a Japanese thermo compensated HEQ.
