What Watch Are You Wearing Today?

Perhaps a little more obscure, this is the Damasko DK37, with custom orange second hand and their top version of the in-house movement.

This watch has so many great features:

- ice hardened steel case (Rockwell 60) which means it's extremely hard to scratch and because the hardening is homogeneous, it's also very difficult to dent,
- the case is also a nickel free proprietary steel, meaning that it boasts exceptional magnetic resistance (important for an automatic),
- ISO something or other shock resistance,
- custom in house ETA clone, regulated in six positions, and improved toughened components that were identified in the ETA model,
- Fully lumed dial,
- Custom in house 'bent' spring bars, to help remove strain from any straps you fit,
- the crown isn't just a screw in cheapo, it's got the same ice hardening and a built in self lubricating system to ensure it stays smooth forever (idk how they can claim this, but kraut space magic?),
- AR coating on the inside and outside of the sapphire crystal,
-100m water resistance,
- hacking, winding crown mechanism, and
- it's accurate +/- 2 seconds a day with a 48 hour power reserve (yes, could be more, but I'm not going to moan about it, I'd have bought it with a 10 hour reserve).

To me this is the ultimate expression of simplicity and elegance, yes, it uses the Arial font for the numbers but that just aligns with what this watch is about, no fuss, no compromise, straight forward absolute functionality. I love how utilitarian and purposeful it's looks and build are.

Most importantly it makes me feel unreasonably happy when I wear it. Odd because I lusted after the Sinn above for years, then bought this a few weeks later and it's surpassed the Sinn as my favourite. Now I have a dress watch and a GADA watch, I'm perfectly happy.
