As the AoS sandalwood soap is mentioned repeatedly, I'd like to point out that there are two versions: The vintage tallow version made by Vallobra (one of my absolute favourites, which may still be available on eBay) and the present version with a mediocre soap base.

I'm going to have to get some AOS too...
Can anybody recommend a good place to get AOS please?
Thank you.I've just noticed that there's a couple of tallow AOS on the BST if you're still interested in this.

It's excellent, from scent to performance. I'm sure you'll like it.
My pleasure to enable you sir!
A few weeks ago, I bought a couple of Tobs Sandalwood soaps, one was a shaving stick and the other a puck
but both have a very different scent. The stick soap is stronger in scent than the puck, even when lathered. I also pick up Proraso red but I don't really like the scent but the Aftershave is brilliant.
There's a YouTube video that makes reference to the AOS sandalwood having the same scent to the Fine Santal but much inferior performance, I would think the comparison is with the new version of the AOS soap.
